ARTIST NOTES: “Still Life with Ibis” tells a story of adaptation and resilience. The Ibis, once a reclusive swamp dweller, has undergone a remarkable transformation. No longer confined to its marshy habitat, it now graces our suburban landscapes. This elegant bird is a symbol of survival, a feathered wanderer navigating the concrete jungle. As the ibis soars beyond its wetland origins, it shows its ability to thrive amidst change.

ARTIST BIO

Challenging oneself consistently is embraced, with exploration of new methods of expression regarded as essential for growth as an artist.

Artworks have been exhibited in a range of venues, including the Hunters Hill Art Prize, the Ravenswood Art Prize, and exhibitions with the Drummoyne and Parramatta Art Societies in New South Wales. Additional exhibitions have been held with Aspire Gallery in Queensland and Brunswick Street Gallery in Victoria.

A permanent solo exhibition is currently displayed within a resort area in New South Wales, where numerous artworks have been sold.

The creative process involves capturing intuitive emotions and translating them onto canvas to create evocative art. Whether depicting floral arrangements, landscapes, seascapes, or abstract explorations, the works aim to resonate deeply with viewers.

The art is characterised by multiple layers of detail and considerable time investment devoted to each piece.
