ARTIST NOTES: This portrait is of myself, lying on my favourite pillow. I don't rest easily as my mind is always racing and I like to keep busy. On the rare occasion I lie down during the day I find it hard to relax. I think you can see in my eyes the discomfort, but also surrender as I concede I need to rest.
